Basic Function

Manage the culture in stores throughout the region with proper merchandising, product mix, and pricing.

Reporting

Reports directly to the Divisional Vice President

Primary Responsibilities

The Acquisition and Maintenance of Customers
Orders merchandise and office furniture to set up stores
Builds relationships with Home Office, Distribution Centers, Store Managers, and Vendors
Assists Store Manager to ensure appropriate stock balances
Trains Store Manager on how to properly order merchandise
Trains Store associates on proper set-up of store
Sets up warehouse in a functional and orderly manner
Create and implement Plan-O-Grams for individual stores
Ensure that the showroom floor is merchandised as per guidelines
Ensure that all merchandise is accurately priced
Conduct training classes on merchandising and aspects of store appearance
Other tasks as assigned by the Vice President

Qualifications

Position requires

Position routinely requires lifting, loading, and "dolling" merchandise 50-300 pounds

The skills to effectively perform all functions in the store

High energy level

Professional appearance

Good computer knowledge

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of merchandising techniques

Excellent telephone etiquette

Visual merchandising experience

Task oriented person

80% weekly travel

Ability to meet deadlines and goals

Ability to teach, train, and mentor employees on a daily basis
